Sheila Klotz

Sheila fell in love with the world of art at an early age. It was always her favorite subject in school, and she felt it was a wonderful way to express herself. Today, that passion continues to guide her life journey. Her artistic horizons include watercolor, Chinese brush painting, credit-card watercolor, acrylic impression painting, pallet knife acrylic painting, abstract painting, paper crafts, collages and gyotaku (an ancient Japanese technique). Beyond these forms, Sheila is always broadening her horizons and trying new mediums to expand her artistic knowledge as well as her views of the world around her. From wall art that breathes life into spaces, to note cards that share sentiments, to jewelry that carries stories with each wearer, her creations celebrate the vibrant energy of life. Sheila sees the world as an optimistic and colorful place, and her hope is that her art will help to elevate those around her.

Sheila has taken & taught an array of classes and workshops in Pittsburgh area and all around the Northeast. She has taught classes in her home art studio, at The Zelienople Lutheran Passavant Community, The Monroeville Library, Saxonburg Library, Butler Arts Center, North Hills Arts Center, the Manos Gallery and more. Sheila has been a part of dozens of local events, done commissioned art for many organizations and nonprofits and several of Sheila's recent accolades include winning 2nd place at the Manos Gallery 24 minis show as well as receiving the People’s Choice award at the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in Bedford. Sheila loves to teach and hopes to instill her love of art in others. Sheila believes that if she can pursue art and make the world a brighter place, so can you!
