Miranda Peterson

Miranda Albasini Peterson has played Viola for over 55 years. She plays with the Genesis Church Worship Team 2-3 times per month. She is looking to influence the love of Viola and Violin through teaching at PSoA. Although Miranda is new to teaching strings, she has a long history as an successful educator both in homeschooling and work.

Miranda has known Kate, founder of Pittsburgh School of the Arts for over 30 years through the Genesis Church. Kate’s quest for a Viola/Violin teacher at her new Robinson location led her to reach out to Miranda, who has been praying to do “something else” in creative ways to earn money when she plans to step back from long work hours in August 2026. She believes PSoA is her next God-directed path.

Miranda is an Idaho girl who lives in Crescent Township (25y) with her husband Greg of 41years, and they are parents to 5 adult children. In addition to her interest in music, she enjoys managing the family budget and the home; sewing clothes, clothing alterations and repairs, and sewing useful craft items; and enjoys riding her horse, Chance Encounter. Currently, Miranda’s paycheck job for over 20 years is with a school bus contractor. Besides driving students to/from school and managing bus transportation bookings for field trips and charters, she teaches others how to drive a school bus.
