Aaron Wagner is a dedicated music educator and performer with over 15 years of teaching experience, bringing energy, expertise, and encouragement to every lesson. Holding both a Bachelor of Music in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Percussion from Slippery Rock University, Aaron has worked with students of all ages—from young beginners to advanced high school musicians—helping them build strong technique, confidence, and a lifelong love for music.

Throughout his career, Aaron has taught in public schools, directed concert and marching bands, and led jazz and indoor percussion ensembles to award-winning performances. His background spans a wide range of instruments, including percussion, piano, guitar, voice, and other band instruments. Whether guiding a first-time guitarist through basic chords or coaching an advanced percussionist on complex rhythms, Aaron tailors each lesson to fit the student’s needs and goals.

In addition to his formal teaching roles, Aaron runs a private lesson studio, creating custom curriculum for each student and fostering an environment where creativity and growth thrive. His patient, upbeat approach keeps students motivated while instilling the discipline and skills needed for lasting musical success.

Outside the classroom, Aaron is an active performer and recording artist. He currently plays drums with the Aris Paul Band and records professionally for local artists and music studios, including Red Caiman. This real-world experience in live performance and studio work allows him to share industry insights with his students, bridging the gap between practice and the professional music world.

Aaron believes music should be both challenging and fun—a journey that teaches not only notes and rhythms but also confidence, teamwork, and self-expression. He’s excited to welcome new students to the store’s lesson program and help them take their first steps, or their next big leap, in their musical journey.
