Phil Lamperski

Phil started playing the guitar at age 9 and teaches students of all ages. He holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Music from The University of Pittsburgh where he studied classical guitar with James Ferla, and was a performing member of the Carnegie Mellon Classical guitar ensemble. Phil also holds a Master of Arts degree in Music from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he studied algorithmic music and world music composition traditions.


In addition to being a musician, Phil also has worked as a Senior Sound Designer and Music Editor in the video game industry on notable titles like the Tomb Raider franchise and Marvel's Avengers. He also actively develops music technologies that facilitate and stimulate therapeutic human engagement and authorship. Phil enjoys playing music in hospital and nursing home settings and teaching others the joy of music!
